Why Choose Yamato Tea Over Uji Green Tea?

🍃 1. The Birthplace of Japanese Tea Culture

Long before Uji became well-known, tea first arrived in Japan through Nara, the ancient capital once known as Yamato. Choosing Yamato tea means embracing the origins of Japanese tea tradition, with a history stretching back over 1,200 years.

🌿 2. Grown in Clean Mountain Air

Yamato tea is cultivated in the highlands of Nara, where fresh mountain air, mineral-rich soil, and misty weather create the perfect growing environment. The result is a brew that’s naturally smooth, aromatic and deeply refreshing.

👨‍🌾 3. Handcrafted by Local Growers

Unlike mass-produced teas, Yamato tea is made by small-scale, dedicated farmers who use traditional methods passed down through generations. Their hands-on care ensures exceptional flavour and quality in every leaf.

🍵 4. Smooth and Balanced Flavour

Yamato tea is known for its gentle, well-rounded taste with a soft umami finish and minimal bitterness. It’s perfect for everyday drinking, quiet moments, or sharing with guests.

✨ 5. A Hidden Gem

While Uji tea is widely marketed, Yamato tea remains a hidden treasure—less commercial, more exclusive, and ideal for those who value authenticity and depth over trend.
